POLONIA, LUCENA Y LA JMJ 2011

Del 11 al 14 de este mes de agosto, tuvimos la suerte de participar en los "Días en la Diócesis" de la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud, acogiendo a dos jóvenes polacos, de la centena larga, que visitaron Lucena y con los que vivimos tres días intensos de convivencia, cultura y fe, que nos marcaron y nos llenaron de alegría a ellos y a las familias que los acogimos. 

Ha sido una experiencia que no olvidaremos y que nos ha confirmado en la fe, en la esperanza y en la caridad, las tres con mayúsculas: Fe en el Espíritu Eterno, Esperanza en esta humanidad que nos ha tocado vivir, a pesar de lo que nos desazona últimamente y Caridad para mantener el corazón tierno y abierto al forastero, que al final se descubre como de nuestra propia familia, porque cualquiera que sea el lenguaje en el que se alabe a Dios (y doy testimonio de lo difícil que es seguir una misa en polaco, menos mal que la mayoría fueron bilingües), las palabras son las mismas y la carga de sentimiento y emoción también.

De ese sentimiento y comunión con "los hijos de Wojtyla", nació el poema que enlazo a continuación de la siguiente foto y que, para darle el mínimo tono pentecostal que requiere la ocasión, he traducido a Inglés, idioma con el que nos hemos entendido, aunque ya me hubiera gustado hacerlo en polaco.  Se lo dedico a ellos y a todas las familias, sacerdotes y otro personal que ha participado en esta rica experiencia.

 "DE LABORE SOLIS" (English version)

From 11th to 14th of this month of August, we were lucky to take part in the " Days in the Diocese " of the World Day of the Youth, receiving two Polish young boys, from more than a hundred, who visited Lucena and with whom we lived three intense days of conviviality, culture and faith, that marked and filled us from happiness so much to them as to the receiving families.

It has been an experience that we will not forget and has confirmed us in faith, in hope and  charity, both three with capital letters: Faith in the Eternal Spirit, Hope in this humanity  we have to deal with, in spite that it makes us so uneasy lately and Charity to keep the heart tender and opened to the stranger, who at the end is discovered as if from our own family, because anyone  would be the language in which you praise to God (and I give testimony of the difficult thing that is to follow a mass in Polish, just as well that most of them were bilingual), the words are the same and also the load of feeling and emotion.

From this feeling and communion with " The children of Wojtyla ", there was born the poem that I link next and that,  to give to it the minimum Pentecost tone that the occasion needs, I have translated into English, language with which we have understood each other, though  I would have like to do it in Polish. I dedicate it to them and to all the families, priests and other people that has taken part in this rich experience.
